A government warning has been issued ahead of Bonfire Night.
DEFA Minister Clare Barber says people should not set light to anything that could give off toxic smoke, posing health risks to people, pets and wildlife.
We are also being reminded that it is illegal to burn domestic or commercial waste instead of disposing of it safely at local amenity sites.
Bonfires should never be left unattended and must be checked for hedgehogs and other small animals before being lit.
If you are planning a bonfire at home, you should call the Emergency Services Joint Control Room on 697327 to let them know in advance of your plans.
