Commissioners in Laxey say they want more information before making a decision about allowing a mobile takeaway to serve the village.
At their meeting earlier this week, Garff Commissioners discussed the application for a trading licence for Pasta Mie.
They said the mobile van might compete with another outlet in the village, which had lodged an objection.
Members asked for more information from the mobile trader before they could decide whether to grant to licence or not.
