The Department of Infrastructure says new zebra crossings in black and red will mean safer pedestrians and TT riders.
The distinctive crossings will be installed in Kirk Michael at Michael School near Douglas Road corner, and near the junction of Baltic Road and Balleira Road.
The TT Course has no zebra crossings because the white paint is too slippery for accelerating motorbikes.
However, the new crossings will be made from red asphalt which has the same grip as the rest of the road.
