Coastguard officers were called out to rescue a dog in the early hours of this morning.
The dog went missing near Fenella beach in Peel shortly before 1.30am and got trapped in a gorge leading to the sea.
The rescue team managed to free the dog and brought it back to its owner unscathed.
The coastguard says the owner did the right thing by alerting the emergency services rather than trying to reach the dog themselves in snow and icy conditions.
