As it stands a licence holder is in breach of licensing laws if they're absent from their premises for more than two hours, without an approved manager in place.
Since these general attendance requirements were introduced last year it's led to a number of people within the hospitality industry to brand them unpractical.
A public consultation has been launched seeking feedback on amendments to the act.
Minister for Justice and Home Affairs, Jane Poole-Wilson says they've listened to licence holders when they say the current provisions aren't practical, and are looking to address the issue.
The consultation is available on the consultation hub.
