Fire Department Urge Home Safety Check\'s for Public
Firefighters are warning people on the Island to have a more cautious approach to ensuring their homes are fire proof.
The service were called out to a boiler blaze yesterday evening in Peel, in this instance the fire was extinguished within ten minutes by two firemen using breathing apparatus, but the team are keen to stress it could have been a lot worse.
Luckily there were no injuries, as the tenants were currently not living in the property as it was in the process of being decorated.
Anyone who is yet to do so is urged to the Fire
Service to book a home safety visit, people are also asked to routinely check
their alarms.
