Horse Tram Stables could soon be protected

The government's asking for your views as it moves to protect a landmark building on Douglas Promenade.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is considering putting the Horse Tram Stables on Queen's Promenade on the protected buildings register.

DEFA says as the building seems to be of special architectural or historic interest, it should be protected from alteration, demolition or extension.

You can send your views to the secretary of the Island's planning committee before February 28.
