A candlelit vigil is being held tomorrow (Thursday) evening for Islanders to show their support for the people of Ukraine.
It starts at 6.30pm in Villiers Square which will be lit up in the national colours of the Ukrainian flag.
The event will begin with a prayer for peace sung in Manx Gaelic and will include spoken prayer led by the Lord Bishop, Peter Eagles.
A horn will sound to mark the beginning of a minute’s silence, which will be end with the Ukrainian National Anthem played by the Manx Youth Band and the Manx Concert Brass.
Those attending are asked to wear blue and yellow and bring along Ukrainian flags, Manx flags and sunflowers.
