A thug has been sent to prison after assaulting a police officer during his arrest.
Jon-Paul Fayle, of Princes Avenue in Douglas, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 30-year-old admitted assaulting an officer on Douglas promenade just after 3am on November 19 last year.
Fayle was verbally abusive and officers used incapacitant spray to subdue him as he kicked one officer in the chest.
Magistrates jailed him for 28 days.
