Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer says the government's working on a new policy to means-test those in public housing.
In the House of Keys this week he was asked about the issue by North Douglas MHK David Ashford.
Mr Harmer said the last government never finished its work on plans to means-test those in council or commissioners homes.
And he said the Cabinet Office was now working on a policy which would eventually be implemented:
Event to help new islanders settle in tomorrow
Over £300k spent on tackling youth crime
Botanical garden would get upgrade under plans
Driving theory test contract details can't be released
The Bishop gets TikTok
Tobacco tax among changes in response to UK budget
Strix chief executive to stand down
