A weather warning for heavy rain will be in force from this afternoon.
Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow warning which will come into force at 3pm today and run until 6am on Sunday (October 4).
According to forecasters, from later today up to 30mm of rainfall can be expected in most areas and up to 60mm on higher ground which will be accompanied by strong to near gale force winds with the whole Island expected to be affected.
They add the conditions may result in some localised surface water flooding, particularly in regions where drains are blocked.
