The owner of the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club says he has great plans to build a 5* hotel and casino around the existing complex.
A fire caused extensive damage to the connected accommodation building almost a fortnight ago.
Albert Gubay says he believes that investigations into the fire will continue for approximately 18 months and he is now planning for positive change.
The hotel’s health club, restaurants and function rooms are set to reopen on Wednesday.
Mr Gubay says although jobs will be lost, staff won’t be left empty-handed:
Peel Road to close this evening for dangerous tree works
Retiring MHKs to have special dinner at Government House
Constituency meeting for Douglas Central tonight
Flights to and from the UK may be disrupted today
