Laxey could be in line to get another bridge - but this time for essential services.
The Manx Utilities Authority has applied for permission to build a service bridge over the Laxey River on Mines Road.
The plans would see cables, street lighting electrical ducts, gas main and fibreoptic cables laid next to a road bridge.
In its proposals, the MUA says it would match the rest of the crossing using Manx slate.
