On-Island poverty is focus of charity music night

'We Shall Overcome' is a national week-long event which has seen gigs arranged across the UK and British Isles. 

 

Each of the events has been organised to raise awareness about poverty and homelessness in people's local areas. 

 

The organiser of the Island's gig Mike Bibby is encouraging people to bring non-perishable canned goods or donations for Housing Matters and the Foodbank tonight:

 

 

The gig is at Noa Bakehouse at 7.30pm - Matt Kelly, Tiger McNulty and The Ballaghs will be performing.
