Some minor alterations could be made at a church in the West of the Island, if planners give the go ahead.
An application has been put forward seeking registered building consent to remove six pews at St Michaels Church on Main Road in Kirk Michael.
Those behind the proposal say they want to provide visitors with better access to the war memorial there, particularly on Remembrance Sundays, where they say it's difficult for worshippers to lay wreaths as well as for older members of the congregation and those in wheelchairs.
They add the removal, if approved, would also provide greater freedom and wall space for temporary exhibitions and community events.
