A UK conservation charity is urging people not to eat Manx queenies.
The Marine Conservation Society has put the scallops on a list of seafoods it says are unsustainable.
Its red list details species which need urgent action to recover because of fishing pressure, habitat damage and diminishing numbers.
This week, it placed scallops on the list which forms part of its Good Fish Guide.
