A Douglas coffee shop has applied to install outdoor seating.
Roots in the City on Prospect Hill hopes to have a deck on the pavement outside to create a level surface, as the street is sloped.
Applicants say the proposed seating area will not be fixed to the existing building and can be removed if needed.
They'd also like to install an overhead awning.
