It's mainly schools in the west that have been affected.
The Department of Education and Children has confirmed that the following schools are shut:

- QE11 High School
- The Bunscoill in St Johns
- Foxdale Primary School
- Peel Clothworkers School

King William's College and the Buchan in the south are also closed as are Sulby and Ballaugh.
All other schools remain open. The department says the situation is being monitored constantly.
