Survey reveals Manx people have links to over 600,000 UK supporters

The final batch of results in the Manx People Power Survey has revealed that Isle of Man residents have over 600,000 supporters living in the UK.

The question asked 1055 respondents how many friends and family they had in the England that would be available to write to their MP’s raising awareness to matters impacting the Isle of Man.

The average number of UK contacts per local person was 10.4

Matters like the reciprocal health agreement and the VAT sharing arrangement have brought the relationship into sharp focus over the past 2 years.

Professor Hugh Davidson has commissioned the survey, he said the Isle of Man has shown it needs every resource available when communicating with the UK.
