Backing from the Manx Lottery Trust is helping an Island bowling club keep its facilities in top condition.
South Ramsey Bowling Club has received a £2,500 grant from the trust which has allowed the club to purchase Verticut TT mowing machine which will reduce thatch, encourage finer grasses to flourish and improve the speed of the green.
Greenkeeper at the club, Dave Kelly, says the support is 'invaluable' and that it's 'great news' for its members as well as league and competition visitors.
Manx Lottery Trust Chairman, Sarah Kelly, adds the club is a 'great community network' and hopes the latest support will 'maximise enjoyment' for those who play there.
