Working party progress library issues

A working party has been set up to support the Department of Education and Children as they continue to devise alternative options for the delivery of Family and Mobile Library services.

The group is made up of Education Minister Peter Karran, Community, Culture and Leisure Minister Tim Crookall and Infrastructure Minister, David Cretney.

No specific time frame has as yet been established, however recommendations will need to be submitted way before the services cease at the end of August.

Speaking about the public reaction to the decision, the Chief Minister has called on the public to accept that change is essential.
