Join us for an evening all about The Queen's pier in Ramsey. We are delighted to be able to show the beautiful film "Grandad and the Pier", with kind permission from the film maker himself, Reuben Armstrong.
"This beautiful, charming, cinematic documentary captures a community project over 130 years in the making. On a small island in the middle of the Irish sea, a giant derelict pier juts out into the rough sea. Closed for decades, now the town is getting a new lease of life thanks to a defiant elderly population building something for the next generation. A wind-swept, tea-soaked, heart-warming film about community, hope and leaving a legacy beyond our years."
The Queen's Pier Restoration Trust will then show us where they are now up to, and also what else is to come. You will hear how you can order planks, dedication plaques and metalwork for the next phase. There will also be exclusive merchandise, all of which will directly fund further restoration. The bar will be open, there will also be tea and coffee available. We hope that you can join us for this fund raising evening
