All routine GP & dentist appointments on Island have been cancelled for at least the next three months.
The Island's Health and Social Care Minister confirmed the new in this afternoon's press briefing.
The Promenade Medical Centre will also now close ahead of schedule.
Mr Ashford said cancer surgery appointments are being brought forward where possible, and cancer screening services are being stopped all together.
Patients with appointments in the UK are encouraged to contact the hospital directly.
Meanwhile, Director of Nursing Cath Quilliam said proper social distancing could reduce the spread of Covid-19 by around 20 per cent per day.
