The library and community space at Castletown Town Hall are being closed to protect against Coronavirus.
It comes after commissioners there met with MHK Jason Moorhouse yesterday morning to discuss sensible precautions to minimise the risk of COVID-19.
The authority is also asking its tenants to pay electronically to avoid the need for cash handling and has made a request to the local government unit to consider making an early decision on whether to postpone the local authority elections due on April 23.
However, all other services at the town hall are unaffected and officials are emphasising Castletown 'remains open for business'.
