Chief Minister: 'Island may well have seen its final lockdown'

Coronavirus may well rear its head again, but chief Minster Howard Quayle says the Isle of Man may well have seen its final lockdown.

During Thursday's press briefing, he said the Island's vaccination programme meant the end of a widespread threat among the general population.

But he said it was unlikely the Isle of Man had seen its very last cases of the disease, and borders would remain closed for the time being.

Mr Quayle paid tribute to the Island, saying he can't know how many lives were saved by restrictions - but they undoubtedly helped prevent deaths.
