Manxman Christian Varley has completed 19 marathons in 19 days, raising tens of thousands of pounds for a local cause.
He crossed the finish line at Tynwald Hill on Tuesday evening - his efforts have generated over £80,000 for the Manx Solidarity Fund which is helping charities, individuals and businesses which have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It dwarfs his previous fundraising target of £19,000 and was greeted by members of the fund and its patron, Lieutenant Governor, Sir Richard Gozney as he completed his gruelling challenge yesterday.
Trustee at the fund, Mel Kermeen, says Christian's mission has 'inspired so many' and that it's been 'a privilege' to help co-ordinate and support his journey.
