People are being urged to remain vigilant after an increase in coronavirus-related scams on Island.
That's according to the Office of Fair Trading which says scammers are now using a variety of tactics including emails, social media, phone calls and text messages to take advantage of the public’s fears and uncertainty over COVID-19.
Police have received several reports of scammers targeting people on the phone and trying to persuade them their money isn't safe.
The advice remains to never give out personal details over the phone.
