Testing for Coronavirus should be able to take place on Island, from next month.
Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford made the statement in a press briefing this afternoon.
He said his department is looking to build a facility to test for Covid 19 on Island and it should be ready by mid-April.
Presently, testing for the virus has to be done in the UK and results can take up to 72 hours.
