A scheme offering financial support for those who've lost their jobs because of the Coronavirus outbreak comes into force today.
The COVID-19 Manx Earnings Replacement Allowance is one of a series of measures previously announced by Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK, to assist people and businesses impacted by the pandemic.
£200 a week will be made available to those temporarily or permanently laid-off since March 2 and payable for up to 13 weeks - it will also be able to assist the self-employed and displaced employees of companies who couldn't retain them under the Wage Support Scheme.
Information on how to apply and the support available during the Coronavirus outbreak is on the government website - a link to the section is available here.
