Schools across the Island could re-open on Monday, April 12.
That was one of the statements made by Education Minister Dr Allinson in today’s Coronavirus conference.
However, Dr Allinson said if Public Health deems the risk of community infection to be to great at that point, a phased approach will be taken instead.
This would see vulnerable children, and those of key workers, allowed back into primary schools from the following day - Tuesday 13 April.
On the same date secondary pupils, from years 11 and 13, will be able to return to undertake assessments that must be completed at school.
Mr Allinson added more details will be provided on in due course.
