Home Affairs Minister Graham Cregeen is in favour of the Island's speed limit returning to normal.
Mr Cregeen spoke earlier this week at Tuesday's government media briefing.
He said increasing it to 60mph and then going back to the original speed limits, is the right step.
An all Island speed limit of 40mph was implemented at the end of March - in order to lower pressure on Emergency Services during the pandemic.
However, it is due to be increased to 60mph on Monday, June 15.
