The public counter at the governments Customs & Excise office has now closed until further notice.
It's one of the latest measures being taken to reduce the risk of the spread of the COVID-19 infection in the community and follows a number of public government counters closing in other departments for the same reason.
Officials are asking all traders and businesses to submit VAT returns online where possible.
They add if you're not already set up to file documents online, to call the division on 648 130 or e-mail customsonline@gov.im where staff can help with the process.
