An Island distillery has produced its first batch of a new alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Fynoderee has made 500 litres of a hand rub which is done to a World Health Organisation approved recipe, which will now be distributed to healthcare facilities, emergency services, schools and other essential organisations.
The company says the main goal is for it to be given to critical services needed on Island to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, but that it's looking into the idea of eventually being able to widen distribution to the general public.
Staff are thanking government departments and individuals who've helped contribute to the project so far.
