Don't litter at recycling sites, authority urges

Commissioners in Arbory are asking residents to help combat littering at recycling sites.

Officials in the parish are urging people not to leave rubbish on the floor at the facilities if bring banks are full and to take your waste to another recycling location or back home for the timebeing.

The authority adds it understands the frustration at having to store items until space at bring banks free up, but if the system gets abused it may get taken away.

Other authorities including Port Erin and Garff have also called on residents to be responsible on the matter after some recycling locations, along with civic amenity sites, were given permission to re-open on April 24.
