Officials are considering making the current 20mph speed limit on Douglas Promenade permanent.
That's according to Infrastructure Minister, Ray Harmer MHK, addressing the Island during this afternoon's daily COVID-19 briefing from government.
The speed restrictions were brought in following the start of the Douglas Promenade refurbishment.
Mr Harmer also adds the DOI is also considering bringing in a one-way system along the stretch to accommodate for a rise in traffic as work continues.
