Every effort is being made to safeguard political democracy in Tynwald during the Coronavirus pandemic.
That's according to a joint statement from the court's President, Steve Rodan MLC, and Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson MHK.
Both say it's 'essential' government sittings are able to continue to make sure emergency legislation can be passed to protect the public from COVID-19 and to ensure parliamentary oversight carries on.
Government offices have also taken measures to follow health guidelines including staff working remotely, and social distancing rules at sittings of Tynwald, the House of Keys and Legislative Council.
Mr Rodan and Mr Watterson add they're 'determined that Tynwald's unbroken history of more than a thousand years will endure'.
