Foodbank to have drive-thru service

The Island is getting its very first Foodbank drive-thru.

IOM Foodbank is introducing the service to try and stop the spread of Coronavirus - and says despite concerns, it is staying open.

The charity adds it will be "here to help you for as long as possible".

In a post on social media, the organisation says existing clients can wait in the top car park or main road near the food centre at Ballafletcher House in Douglas, they will then receive a call to inform them their parcel is ready.

They can then drive down to pick up their food parcel from a box.

If you are in crisis, the Foodbank says it can call you back at an appointed time to assess your needs.

You can contact the Foodbank by calling 646999 or 311550 or you can email isleofmanfoodbank@gmail.com
