The government has teamed up with a third sector organisation on Island to boost home and community care services.
Officials have joined with Crossroads Caring for Carers whose staff will now provide care to residents in their homes on behalf of the health department for the next 15 weeks.
The move allows the DHSC Community Support Service to help vulnerable people in residential homes, those needing dementia care and adults with learning disabilities.
The DHSC Community Support Service will also help with the new Community Home Assessment and Treatment Team (CHATT), which is providing assistance for vulnerable adults at home who've contracted COVID-19 but don't require hospital treatment.
