The all-Island speed limit will be raised to 60mph from June 15.
Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK confirmed the update at today's briefing who says the changes will come no later than the end of next month.
The 40mph all-Island restriction has been in place since March 28 in an effort to reduce collisions in Manx roads and lower the demand on emergency services during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mr Quayle stated last week there had never been any intentions to make the 40mph limit permanent.
