Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, says government is aware of the impact lockdown is having on residents' mental health.
However he says that at this time social distancing is key and that staying at home is still the safest place to be.
Meanwhile, DHSC Head of Mental Health, Ross Bailey, adds his department is aware of the future mental impact of the lockdown situation and that his team is working to put support in place for a possible surge in demand.
At today's government briefing, Mr Bailey suggests activities such as regular exercise, creating a daily routine and maximising sleep can help our own mental wellbeing during the pandemic.
