A man who was arrested for allegedly not following self-isolation rules is not showing symptoms of Coronavirus.
Police confirmed earlier today a 26-year-old Manx resident of no fixed abode was detained on suspicion of failing to adhere to new quarantine rules on Island requiring anyone returning to the Isle of Man to immediately self-isolate for 14 days.
The constabulary has since clarified the individual had arrived before the emergency measures had come into force and handed himself into authorities after being unable to secure safe accommodation.
Officers say a secure place to stay has now been found for the man and he will be escorted to the premises and his compliance with the quarantine will be monitored.
