Manx Gas says its meter readers won't be going inside customer homes as part of the company's coronavirus precautions.
The firm took to social media to update people about its preparations in the face of the pandemic.
Although emergencies will be dealt with as usual, routine visits will be assessed to see if they're appropriate.
Meters will only be read if they're outside properties, with other customers submitting readings through the post or online.
