Manx Utilities will increase emergency credit and stop visits to premises for routine meter readings.
The company says it has robust pandemic response plans and is increasing its testing of these plans.
It says some ‘business as usual’ services may be temporarily affected.
But it'll help people by increasing emergency credit on prepay meters from £6 to £30.
Customers are requested to contact Manx Utilities through its website or by telephone, and avoid attending its offices, if possible, to minimise the risk of transmission of the infection.
It also will now be allowing people to top up at the Co-op on Duke Street and the Spar on Parliament Street in Ramsey, which was due to be removed.
