Officials have confirmed Tynwald Day celebrations will take place on July 6, but with some 'considerable' modifications.
In an announcement from Tynwald President, Steve Rodan MLC, it's been stated there'll be a significant reduction in the number of people taking part due to social distancing but key elements of the ceremony will remain.
The ceremony on the hill will begin in the normal way with the Royal Anthem, Coroners will take their oaths and acts will be promulgated, however petitioners are asked not to attend because of the current medical guidance.
Instead, those with petitions are asked to submit them in advance with further advice on the matter to be given in due course.
