There are no plans to keep the current all-Island speed limit of 40mph in the long term.
That's according to Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, when questioned on the matter during today's Coronavirus briefing.
He says changes will be made as soon as possible and when safe to do so.
The speed restriction is in place on all Manx highways with the aim of reducing the chance of collisions and therefore extra strain on the Island's emergency services.
