No Manx pavilion at Celtic festival

An international Celtic communities festival won't have a Manx pavilion this year.

Each year, a team of volunteers and chefs man the pavilion serving Manx food and drink for hundreds of thousands of festival goers at the Festival Interceltique in Lorient, Brittany.

However, Event Management Solutions, which co-ordinates it, says they won't be present at the 2020 occasion in August, saying safety has to come first during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event is the highlight of the International Celtic Communities with many nations represented - the Island pavilion, when there, is also the base for live music, dance performances and tourist information featuring Isle of Man performers.
