Postal services won't be asking for signatures from customers on hand-held deliveries under new measures to prevent Coronavirus.
Isle of Man Post Office says instead they will log the name of the person accepting the item - the rules will apply to all parcels which need a signature.
The organisation also says deliveries made to anyone who is self-isolating which can't fit through the letterbox will be left on the doorstep, or if there is no safe place to do so a 'while you were out' card will be delivered suggesting ways it can be picked up.
Officials add the business has 'robust contingency plans' for if services are affected which are 'regularly tested, reviewed and updated'.
