Only immediate family of those who have died will be able to attend their funeral.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle made the announcement in today's Covid-19 press briefing.
He said due to current restrictions there must be no mass gatherings - including funerals.
Mr.Quayle reiterated as awful as it may be, proceedings will be restricted to immediate family only.
Meanwhile, Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford said despite rumours there are no plans to turn the National Sports Centre in Douglas into a Morgue.
