"People aged 70 and over should self-isolate"

"People aged 70 and over should self-isolate" - That's according to the Chief Minister, following a press briefing this afternoon.

He says it's to prevent the possibility of being infected - and more guidance will be issued shortly.

He also confirmed anyone travelling to the Island must go into quarantine for two weeks as of tomorrow.

However, in a statement the government says: "Those aged 70 and over or pregnant or have underlying health conditions are strongly advised to take extra care to prevent the possibility of being infected."

It comes as this year's TT has been called off, all non-essential travel off Island being discouraged and the Treasury looking to add an extra £40 million to its fund to tackle Coronavirus.
