Local pharmacies are urging the public to follow certain steps to protect medicine supplies amid increasing demand.
The Isle of Man Pharmacy Contractors Association says demand for over-the-counter medication and prescriptions has risen drastically in the past few weeks.
As a result, the organisation is asking anyone showing symptoms of Coronavirus not to go to pharmacies; that residents shouldn't stockpile and should order medicines as normal and to be polite and respectful towards staff.
The association adds some of the outlets may have to limit the amount of people who can come into the stores at certain times to maintain social distancing and may also have to shorten opening times because of the reduced number of available staff.
